CAMDEN, N.J., 15 July 2021 /PRNewswire/ - Subaru of America, Inc. today announced the top honors in J.D. Power 2021 Best brand loyalty award. This distinction recognizes automotive brands that have demonstrated longevity, trust, and performance. It is based on the J.D. Power U.S. Automotive Brand Loyalty Study. Subaru had the highest loyalty rate across all luxury and mass market automakers, with 61.8%.

J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Automotive Brand Loyalty Study

"At Subaru, our goal is to be more than just a car company in all we do - that's why we continue to be chosen by Subaru's valued owners," stated Thomas J. Doll, President & CEO, Subaru of America, Inc. Power is a powerful reinforcement of our customers' loyalty and we are proud to be able provide long-lasting value to them as an automaker and a force for positive change in our communities.

The J.D. Power U.S. Automotive Brand Loyalty Study determined whether an owner bought the same brand after trading in a vehicle for a new one. The percentage of vehicle owners who choose the same manufacturer when buying or trading in their next vehicle is what determines customer loyalty. The 2021 U.S. The 2021 U.S. Automotive Brand Loyalty Survey calculations are based upon transaction data from June 2020 to May 2021 and include all model year traded in.
This award places brand loyalty at the top of automakers' priorities because it encourages customers to renew or repurchase leases from the same company. Customers will likely recommend the auto brand to their friends and family once they have developed brand loyalty. Subaru was ranked the highest in its segment due to its reputation for bringing safety and trust to car shopping. J.D.
